Here's some facts...since 2002 VHS is a combined 23-32. Their best season was 2002 with a 6-5 record. During the same time Lebanon is 41-16. 2 years ago they won just 6 games but in ever other year they have won no less than 8. All I am sayin is i don't expect the trend to end next year. VHSdevil can't take it that I don't share his opinion. I don't take things personal on here but when he wants to start callin me ignorant etc etc I'll give him a dose of it back.

Oh great one of knowledge please share with us both teams and their schedules and then lets compare records!

Records are one thing but to compare teams and their records you must show who they have played...I mean one without ignorance as you claim would think that would be the case. [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img] lol

To play the Gate City, Richlands, Tazewell, Graham, Tennessee High and I'll throw HONAKER in there because I think they are the best team over there in that neck of the woods... It's hard not to finish 5-6 or 6-5 or 7-5 every year.
Heck VHS has even added Sullivan Central to their schedule.

When you play Holston, Northwood, Patrick Henry, Grayson County, Chilhowie and John Battle...granted we know VHS plays JSB but still I think many would compare and say WOW look at the difference.

Better yet they play alot of common opponents...so we will look at how they fared overall against common opponents...The common opponents were Honaker, John Battle, Abingdon, Richlands, Tazewell, Lee, and Patrick Henry.
VaHigh is 16-15 vs. these teams. 14 of these wins were against either JBS, Abingdon, or Lee. THe only other wins VaHigh has against these common opponents is 1 vs Tazewell and 1 vs. Patrick Henry.
Lebanon is 14-9 vs these teams. 10 of these wins were either JBS or Patrick Henry. Lebanons other wins against these opponents was Honaker twice, Abingdon once, Tazewell twice, and Lee once.
Since neither beat Richlands, if you take Richlands out of the equation:
VaHigh 16-8
and
Lebanon 14-5

Outside their common opponents, VaHigh has won games against Marion, Gate City, and Coeburn.

And, outside common opponents, Lebanon has beaten George Wythe, Northwood, Chilhowie, Rural Retreat, Holston and Grayson County.

Really, overall the only difference i see is VAHigh plays Graham and Tn High while Lebanon plays George Wythe and Rural Retreat. That being said, Most years GW and RR are pretty good.

Sullivan Central should be an easy win.
And by the way, Graham and TnHigh have handed VaHigh 8 losses in the past 5 years. You can take those away from the total and VaHigh is still 23-24 overall. You can say all ya want about other teams schedules..but the truth is VaHigh has only won 9 games in the past 5 years that didn't involve either JBS, Abingdon or Lee. And of those 9, are teams you have only beaten once in that 5 year span: GC, PH, TZ,and Coeburn. Not much to crow about really. You can point all ya want to the schedule. But, it seems to me that VaHigh needs to lighten up if you feel it's too difficult. Even if they added teams like Rural Retreat and George Wythe and dropped TNHigh and Graham i'd still say they would be handed 2 losses for their efforts.

You say GC and VAHigh will be fighting for second. I dont think so! If GC doesnt get things turned around I see them losing to all but maybe JSB. They will be badly down again next season also.

This is true. But, Last year VaHigh barely beat GC in Bristol. GC returns Anderson and Parks, so i think VaHigh vs. GC will be a dog fight.

I truely look for Lee High coming in second. They are on their way up and I have that feeling.

I agree. When PV/Lee played last year, I thought Lee showed more potential and athleticism than I'd seen in awhile. I also think they've got a sound coaching staff now also.
